Chapter 162: Lost Mist Town
My stomach churned. I kept bumping into cute things tonight. First it was the corpse eating ghost, then it was the skeleton warriors and the lich, and now it was a bunch of undead. I also had to bring the Undead General’s head back to patrol team leader Wack. This old man, why does it seem like he enjoyed collecting these things?
But this quest difficulty was 540, so the reward should be quite good. I didn’t receive a quest reward for killing the Lich King quest. So I immediately returned to White Cloud City and bought some City Return Scrolls. Then I spent around a thousand gold coins to repair my equipment. It had to be said that repairing Dark Gold Equipment really cost too much. It was a good thing that I was a man with a full inventory of gold coins, or I wouldn’t even be able to repair my equipment. After this, I still obediently bought potions and then went to the equipment shop, spending around a thousand gold coins for ten quivers of high attack iron arrows. These arrows added 20 attack power, so they were high end goods. Each quiver was enough for me to use for five hours, so it was worth it to use on this high difficulty quest.
After preparing everything, I set off!
Coming out of the city, I opened the map. Following the instructions of my quest, I went to the southeast of White Cloud City. I came to the White Cloud Mountain Range, right at the foot of the mountains. It was where the iron workshop of White Cloud City was, as well as the workshop that was being surrounded by the undead in my quest!
I went south first before heading east. I was only halfway there after traveling for an hour, but I was surprised to find that there were some players around level 35 traveling across the White Cloud Mountains. They couldn’t be teleported there, so this was a noob group that had walked from Sunset City to White Cloud City!
I couldn’t help being surprised. These fellows were too powerful, they could actually pass through the mountains without being killed! Their potential was limitless!
Entering the Moonlight Forest, there wasn’t a single weak monster that appeared. It was the wolves and tigers that appeared occasionally, but with the Roaring Flame Spear, these level 70 normal monsters weren’t considered anything and were turned into experience points!

Going forward with the Roaring Flame Spear in hand, I looked around with the Star Eyes. I could see that there was a group of undead not far away. These undead looked like they had just come out of the earth, with strips of rags on them, blood coagulated on their skin, rotten skin that even showed white bones. It was as if with just a bit of rain, all of the rotten flesh and clothes would be washed away and they would become skeleton soldiers.
When I came closer, I used the Star Eyes to get the stats of one of the undead.

Additional: The Lich King killed many human soldiers and extracted their souls to turn them into undead. These undead have an incredible sharp sense of smell for blood and they only exist to kill those living beings that have blood flowing in them.

I couldn’t help being surprised. It was a level 75 enhanced monster, which meant that they had already surpassed the level of the Liches. Why did it only have a difficulty of 540? Could it be that I was lied to?
Feeling a bit confused, I immediately nocked by bow and sent out an armour piercing arrow!
“Pa!”
“2347!”
When the white light hit, there was an explosion on the back of the zombie that was hit with the arrow. This powerful force had split the flesh of the undead apart and with the force of this one attack, there was a deep bloody hole in the back of the undead!
“Roar, roar!”
The undead was agitated, but it also quickly found the trace of a human in the distance.
With an angry roar, the undead charged over and slashed their sharp claw at my chest armour!
“Keng!”
The sound of the flesh hitting the golden armour actually let out the sound of metal clashing. It left behind a faint scratch on my armour and my HP dropped by 324!
I couldn’t help being secretly surprised. This undead’s 880 attack could deal this much damage to me, as expected of an enhanced monster! But this was also because the level disparity was too high. If I was also at level 75, then with my 1370 defense, this undead wouldn’t even be able to deal 100 damage to me!
Taking out the Roaring Flame Spear, I sent out several slashes. With the Sweeping Away Thousand Soldiers, the undead was pushed back. When I used the Ice Wind Thorn, with a “bada” sound, the shoulder of the undead was pierced through. When I pulled back, the entire arm was cut off!

If Ling Yue and Ling Xue were to level here, they would give up on these gold coins. After all, the undead looked so disgusting, so the gold coins that they dropped wouldn’t be any better.
But I was different. Kicking aside the undead’s arm, I picked up the gold coins from the ground and put them in my inventory.

So I immediately pulled out the Star Chasing Bow and with a gentle pull, I sent out the Thousand Bladed Arrows. The rainbow coloured glow bloomed from the group of undead!

There was a group of undead who were agitated as they charged at me. It was a good thing that these undead were slow, only moving at around 75% of the speed of me this gave me hope of being able to finish this mission!
While running, I used the Thousand Bladed Arrows to hurt the undead. Going in a large circle and coming back, there were only a few undead left with a sliver of HP!
“Shua!”
Shooting the rainbow glow, the Thousand Bladed Arrows was released and a group of monsters were taken care of.
What surprised me was that the hole that had been created was instantly filled. There were just too many undead here and they were all charging at Lost Mist Town.
There was no other way, I could only charge in!
I took a step forward and pulled out the Roaring Flame Spear, charging into the undead!

With two swings to clear the undead, I charged forward and activated the Bloodthirst skill of the Scarlet Cape. There was a red glow that appeared around me and my move speed increased quite a bit!
My goal wasn’t to kill the mobs, but to enter the town. So I just used the Roaring Flame Spear to knock away the undead and created a path for myself.
But there were just too many of them. The attacks of the undead weren’t weak and when I was halfway through, I had already lost half my HP!
My heart turned cold and I gritted my teeth. I raised the Roaring Flame Spear in one hand and there was a golden shadow that suddenly flew out in front of me!

The undead were pushed aside and many of them were knocked back. In just an instant, there was a space that was created in front of me that reached all the way to the town’s gate!
My heart sank as I knew that now was the time!
Without saying a word, I charged forward while sweeping out with the Roaring Flame Spear, pushing away the undead.
After around five minutes, I reached the iron gates of the town. I suddenly looked up and saw that in the high up tower, there was a level 65 soldier shooting arrows at the undead!
“Hey! Brother, let me in!”
Facing this sea of undead, my legs turned soft as I called out.
