So, Ling Xue and I killed out way down the mountain, not leaving a single one. Each monster killed decreased the number on our quest screen by one.
Of course, I wasn’t satisfied killing them one by one, who knew how long that would take. We had to kill them as quickly as possible because I still had something to do in the morning tomorrow, which was to apply for a personal gaming banking account!
Ling Xue pulled a group of monsters over and said with a smile, “All yours!” Then she ran as fast as the wind. When she came back again, she had another group of white skeletons. So I used all my firepower, with the Thousand Bladed Arrows blossoming in all its splendor, releasing its might. When Ling Xue turned to come back, half of them had already been killed!
In less than an hour, with our high killing speed, we had already arrived at the bottom of the mountain, leaving white bones all behind us. Moreover, Ling Xue finally reached level 40, but she wasn’t in a rush to change Jobs. There were already over twenty players that had changed Jobs already, so there wouldn’t be any benefits to changing Jobs now, it was better to relax and finish this quest.
The two people stood side by side at the bottom of the mountain, opening the quest screen. Remaining undead monsters: 2.
I asked in curiosity, “We’ve already carefully looked through everything, there are still fish that escaped the net?”
Ling Xue gave a soft laugh. She slashed out at a struggling skeleton’s skull on the ground, causing the number to drop down to one.
I looked all around, but Ling Xue pulled my hand and pointed. She said with a smile, “Little fool, look!”
Looking at where Ling Xue was pointing, there was actually a Demonified Skeleton sitting on a blue rock on the mountain. It was holding its skull in one hand and its sword was on the side.
I couldn’t help smiling as I said, “Yi? There’s actually still one thinker left!”
We quickly rushed forward. A high level Armour Piercing Arrow hit the “thinker” for close to two thousand HP while Ling Xue charged forward. The Light Flow Sword flashed and the thinker turned into a pile of broken bones!
Finally, the monster clearing quest was over!
So, I brought Ling Xue back up to the Forgotten Tower, where the human soldiers guarding it were already starving. When Ling Xue broke the iron gate with a single slash, the human soldiers charged out towards Sunset City!
I asked in a surprised voice, “The quest is finished just like this?”
Ling Xue pursed her lips into a smile, “Idiot! Quickly lead the way for them!”
I finally woke up and pulled Ling Xue to the front of these NPCs. On the journey to Sunset City, there were quite a few monsters!
On the road, although the Green Eyed Devils were strong slashing with their axes, in front of the stronger Ling Xue, these Green Eyed Devils did not last long. The Light Flow Sword left shadows as it quickly killed a Green Eyed Devil. Faced with Ling Xue’s entire Silver Strong Gale Set, the Green Eyed Devils’ attacks couldn’t penetrate her defenses at all!
Soon, it was already twelve at night. Ling Xue and I did not feel sleepy at all as we led the troops, opening their path.
At this time, there was another piece of pleasantly surprising news. After killing large amounts of monsters for a long period of time, my red name had finally been washed off. It was like an ill person being cured at this moment, this feeling was just too hard to obtain!
Outside Hero Memorial Park, there were quite a few players leveling. Of course, soon quite a few people recognized me and whispered to each other, “Isn’t that Easily Angered Bookworm who killed countless experts in the Forgotten Valley? So broken, a single person fought with all those people!”
So many players were eager to make a move, but they were afraid that I didn’t have a red name now, otherwise quite a few people would have made their moves already.
In the end, while those people looked at me with covetous eyes, Ling Xue raised her Light Flow Sword and fiercely said to them, “What are you looking for? Want to make a come? Come!!”
Seeing this little beauty’s display, the players were all shocked. Many people were drooling as they watched us leave, not a single one wanted to make a move.
However, Ling Xue was not relaxed, so she sent news to Ling Yue. Not long after, the other five people from Xue Yue Studio appeared. Ling Yue was in front holding her Roaring Flame Staff, with a cold faced Bing Cha, a smiling Quiet Rain Fall and Last Year’s Summer, and Zi Yue holding a bronze dagger following her, looking around.
Zi Yue looked at the NPCs behind us and said with a smile, “You’re sending them back to Sunset City?”
I nodded, “Un!”
Ling Yue pursed her lips into a faint smile, “Let’s go, everything can be considered back to normal! This time, if we’re going to PK again, we have to properly protect ourselves. We can’t let ourselves gain red names that easily, it’s truly troublesome having red names~~”
I revealed a smile. Indeed, without repairing my equipment for a day, my Scarlet Flame Set already only had a tenth of its durability left. The durability of my Star Chasing Bow was even lower, it was almost to the point of being broken beyond use.
In the distance, several Fated Players approached. Ling Yue and I both saw them and couldn’t help knitting our brows, there might be trouble soon!
Sunset City was just in front and we could probably arrive in just ten minutes. There was no one that dared PK in the city because their names would turn red after killing anyone and the guards in the city who were at least level 60 wouldn’t show any mercy. Once a red named player died, not only did they drop more items from their inventory, there was also a higher chance of dropping their equipped items.
In just a few minutes, I received a message from Ghost Fire, “Bookworm, we saw quite a few Fated players gathering at Sunset City’s east gate, is there something happening again?”
My heart skipped a beat. When I finished describing the quest, Ghost Fire immediately sent another message, “Ha, ha! Since it’s like this, Heavenly Punisher and I will bring our brothers to keep them out of the city, you can just be assured and enter the city!”
I couldn’t help smiling. It truly was different having brothers!
At this time, there were already three Fated Players that came over. It was two level 27 berserkers and a level 29 mage!
The mage said in surprised, “Yi? Isn’t this Easily Angered Bookworm who our boss wanted to kill? Brothers, kill him!”
The two berserkers immediately approached me. Their axes in their hands sparkled, clearly they were planning to cut me down!
So, I took a step forward without any hesitation.
“Pacha~!”
The axe fell. A level 27 berserker really couldn’t fight a level 41 archer. I only felt a slight pain and I saw the berserker’s face fill with despair, as he only dealt less than 300 damage to me!
Quickly taking out an iron arrow, I sent out an Armour Piercing Arrow as fast as lightning. There was only a flash of white light as blood splashed from the berserker’s chest. A damage figure of 1984 appeared and he was instantly killed!
The other berserker was shocked, clearly he hadn’t thought that my defenses would be this high. So, he still decided to give a try with his axe. In the end, before his axe even fell, he saw a beauty appear in front of him. She had a sparkling set of silver armour and she was holding a glowing long sword.
Ling Xue said, “Come, fight me!”
The berserker gritted his teeth and sent out a slash! There was only a soft sound and Ling Xue’s body did not even move, only taking 21 points of damage! He couldn’t break her defenses at all!
The berserker was completely stunned, unable to say a single word. Ling Xue raised her Light Flow Sword with a faint smile and with a “pacha” sound, a deep sword mark appeared on the berserker’s chest!
“3782!”
It was another instant kill!
Ling Xue’s slash had almost dealt four thousand damage, this shocking strength made people so surprised they couldn’t talk. I could even hear the surrounding Sunset City players all take in a cold breath!
The final remaining mage looked at us before running with gritted teeth.
Ling Xue smiled at the mage, “Cut!”
